Our lava lamp experiment!

Our lava lamp experiment!

This week in our K5 class, we ignited curiosity and creativity with a fantastic lava lamp experiment! Our little scientists had a blast exploring the fascinating world of science right in our classroom!
Using simple materials like water, vegetable oil, food coloring, and Alka-Seltzer tablets, we created our very own colorful lava lamps. The excitement was palpable as the children watched the oil float on top of the water, and then magic happened when we dropped in the Alka-Seltzer. The fizzing reaction made vibrant bubbles rise and fall, mimicking the effect of a real lava lamp!
The joy on their faces as they observed the shimmering colors swirling inside their cups was priceless! By incorporating hands-on activities like this, we make learning an exciting adventure that fosters curiosity and a love for exploration.
