About Us
Our Educational Model
The School’s pedagogic model characterizes to be constructivist and integrative. Acknowledges the student in all their levels as change agents and future country leaders, this is why their preparation must be integral and based in moral, ethic, scientific, civic and ecological values.
We envision a person who can face challenges and respond to them successfully. The base of the student’s education foresees to compile all the areas for their development:
The Constructivist Model which refers to the construction of knowledge and student’s personality, aptitudes that are learnt and evolve as they construct meaningful knowledge that benefit them for life.
The essence of constructivism is the individual being protagonist of his or her own learning as a result of previous knowledge, the interaction of inner dispositions and the environment. Therefore, to build is not abstract, but practical as long as the individual is conscious of what he or she knows and how it’s been learnt; it’s to think, feel, structure and to organize information and feelings and to put them into actions.
This pedagogical model helps the student not to store knowledge, but to build while interacting with other factors that intervene; generating individual and mental development, logic and formal knowledge operations.
Thus, this position implies a pedagogic action in order to create a rich and stimulating environment where obstacles will not exist and to ensure the student will unfold self-constructive activities; where the teacher is considered a facilitator/spectator of the development made by the student in favor of the autonomous discovery process of concepts and of being an active intervening agent in the consumption of knowledge.
The student constructs knowledge as he or she interacts with reality, with fellow students and realizes while going through several processes, among them assimilation and accommodation.
With this work methodology based in reflexive, critical thinking, the creativity and information analysis and having as base the scientific research and new technologies, they will work as learning tools given to students in order for them to build structures or ways to organize information that can be transformed to strategies that can actively filter, codify, categorize and evaluate information received in relation to any relevant experience. In consequence, this will ease the transition to future successful learning experiences, such as, college and university education.
